To upgrade its catalog of street furniture from 1995, the City of Paris has developed an eco-calculator that integrates its furniture’s environmental data. Used since April by the management of urban planning, the tool is allowing officials to analyze the life cycle of a whole body of objects.

At the end of April, Sacramento, the capital of the Golden State, hosted the Green California Summit. This conference rode a wave set into motion by the January 1st, 2011 enactment of the legislation CALGreen. Focusing on the conservation of resources and energy, especially reduction of carbon emissions (AB 32), California launched with CALGreen a large-scale green building regulatory standard.
